Simex awarded C$500K contract to supply display units to the Canadian Navy
Simex Defence has been awarded a C$500K contract to supply the Canadian Navy with 40 display panels.
The contract includes eleven 65″ color flat panel display units and twenty nine 24″ color flat panel display units.
Both the 65″ and the 24″ panels are designed and built to military standards to withstand extreme shock, vibration, and EMI fluctuations. They have a high range of operating temperature (0 to 50 degrees Celsius), and can withstand high humidity and altitude.
The two panels feature convenient front controls, color active matrix liquid crystal display, a wide viewing angle in all directions, anti-reflective protective viewing windows, and HD-15 (VGA) and DVI-D input video connectors.
The 65″ panels have a resolution of 1920 x 1080, an auto ranging internal AC power supply, and can be mounted on bulkhead, ceiling, or deck.
The 24″ panels have a resolution of 1920 x 1200, they come with flicker compensation for display of sonar acoustic data, and can be rack or console mounted.
