Simex Defence Inc. is pleased to announce its commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its Scope 1 and Scope 2 operations by 2050 as part of Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Net-Zero Challenge.
As a Canadian small and medium-sized enterprise serving defence, security and government customers, Simex recognizes the importance of supporting Canada’s transition toward a low-carbon economy while maintaining operational excellence and long-term business resilience.
As part of this commitment, Simex has established a 2025 greenhouse gas emissions baseline inventory for its Canadian operations, and will integrate emissions management into its business planning processes, monitor annual emissions performance, and evaluate initiatives that support long-term emissions reductions consistent with achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Progress toward this commitment will be reviewed annually and reported through participation in the Government of Canada’s Net-Zero Challenge program. To learn more about the program click here.
