Sam Mouallem


Sam Mouallem is the founder and president of Simex Defense Inc. and for the past 30 years has established, created, communicated and implemented the organization’s vision, mission and overall direction. Sam lead the business from a small company back in the early nineties to a major Defense contractor with stellar reputation among customers and suppliers alike, very strong financial standing and many exclusive agreements with major Canadian, American and European Defense Contractors.


Carl Yazigi

Sales Director

Carl has 23 years experience in military procurement and bidding on Canadian National Defense, U.S Forces and NATO solicitations. Carl also oversees the supply chain for major projects from OEMs and manufacturers in the Aerospace, Navy and defense industry.


Steve Mouallem

Operations Director

Steve has over 27 years experience in operations and logistics. He is responsible for the warehouse staff and implementing all ISO standards to all packaging, warehousing, shipping & logistics processes at Simex. Steve's team provides quality inspection, customized packaging and shipping solutions that meet the needs of all our clients. Each product that leaves Simex is carefully inspected, packaged, prepared and shipped to meet the client and end-users’ expectations.


Ted Dagher

Sales Director

Ted has over 14 years experience in procurement and bidding. His expertise is working on land vehicle, marine, navy and tooling projects. Ted is also responsible for our manufacturing projects, overseeing the end-to-end process of design and production, which are based on military drawings within Simex Database.


Nora Saad

Purchasing and After Sales Contracts Manager

With 20 years of experience at Simex, Nora spearheaded the contractual procurement and purchasing processes for all government and commercial contracts for the military and the Ministry of Defense. Nora has been a key contributor for collaboration in order to obtain the best value and to develop mutually beneficial relationships with partners and customers. Throughout her career and has a proven track record of critical issues related to the interpretation and execution of contracts.


Nadejda Calaras

Assistant Buyer

Nadejda is our key point of contact between suppliers and customers in our sales department. She is responsible for preparing government bids & contracts, and ensuring they are complete and delivered on time. Nadejda comes to Simex with over 10 years experience in supply chain and procurement within several industries.


Joe Dagher

Finance Director

Joe is the head of our finance department, ensuring the companies stewardship, financial stability and mitigating financial risks. He is also responsible for security and compliance matters. Joe has 4 years experience at Simex and holds a BComm. in accounting from Concordia University.


Iris Mak

Accounting Manager

Iris handles all the accounting processes and procedures at Simex, she has done so for more than 15 years. She plays a vital role in ensuring the fiscal responsibilities of the company. She is responsible for timely payment to our suppliers, invoicing and resolving all accounting issues.


Carmen Kanaan

Customer Care Manager

Carmen is responsible for the coordination of contracts and post sales customer/supplier care. She is responsible for the end-to-end process of the supply chain. Carmen is the direct contact for our customers & suppliers for issue resolutions, ensuring on- time delivery, and to communicate any discrepancies or delays. Carmen has over 30 years experience in the Customer Service.

Junior Buyer

Jad has recently joined Simex as a junior buyer, working on specialized projects for our clients.


Tanya Shandal

Supply Chain Operator

Tanya is an integral part of the operations and QA team, ensuring all the documents are in order as per our ISO standards and up to our customers expectations.
